About Silk Route Lodge
Silk Route Lodge was never meant to be a hotel in the traditional sense. It was created as a personal sanctuary; a place where people could feel grounded, welcome, and at ease. We like to call it a ‘home-tel’, because it literally feels like a home away from home. Minus the chores.
Located in Gulmit along the Karakoram Highway, the Silk Route is spread across 45 kanals of apple orchards, open lawns, riverfront space, and uninterrupted mountain views. What defines it most, however, is its spirit: a lived-in warmth shaped by the people who run it and the guests who return to it.
This is a place for those who don’t want to be hosted, but welcomed.
